Which AI video models can I use, and what do they cost?

Short answer
One StoryShort plan gives you several AI video models. You can use Seedance 2.5 and 2.0, Kling v3, Wan 3.0 Prime, MiniMax H3 Max and H3 Max Turbo, and Veo 3.1 Fast. Most are billed per second of video, from 1 to 12 credits per second, and more with a reference video.

We tested every model with the same prompt on October 6, 2026. The H3 Max and H3 Max Turbo clips had almost no sound.
Example: a 10-second clip at 720p costs 80 credits with Seedance 2.5 and 50 with Wan 3.0 Prime. A 10-second clip at 768p costs 30 credits with H3 Max.
What each model is good at
- Seedance 2.5: long takes up to 30 seconds, and up to 9 reference images and 3 reference videos.
- Wan 3.0 Prime: up to 30 seconds in 1080p, with references and start and end frames.
- H3 Max: references in image, video and audio.
- Kling v3: short clips in 1080p, with or without sound.
Where to use them
- AI Video tool: make one clip at a time, from text or from an image.
- Full videos: when a video uses AI clips, you choose a quality level and StoryShort picks the model. On the Ultra level, you can also choose the model.
The AI video models need a paid plan. If a generation fails, its credits come back by themselves.
