• You can revoke StoryShort.ai's access to your YouTube data at any time through your Google security settings page

3. Data Collection and Usage

We collect and process the following data through YouTube API Services:

• YouTube account access tokens (for authentication)
• Video upload capabilities and settings
• Basic channel information required for video management

4. Data Storage and Retention

For YouTube API Services data:

• We temporarily store YouTube data for a maximum of 30 days
• After 30 days, data is either refreshed or deleted
• You can request immediate deletion of your stored YouTube data through your account settings

5. Device Data Collection

We collect the following data from your device to enable our services:

• Browser type and version
• Operating system information
• Screen resolution and device type (for optimal video rendering)
• Connection information required for video uploads

6. Google API Services User Data Policy

StoryShort.ai's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk of our processing operations, including encryption of sensitive data and secure API communications.

8a. API and AI Agent Connections (MCP)

StoryShort offers an API and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that let you connect third-party AI assistants (such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor) to your account. When you authorize such a connection:

• The connected application acts on your account with your permission only, granted through an OAuth consent screen or an API key you generate.
• It can access only the data needed for its stated function: your videos, generation options (voices, styles, themes), credit balance, and connected social accounts, and can create, render and publish videos on your behalf.
• We store OAuth tokens hashed and never share your StoryShort password with connected applications.
• You can revoke any connected application at any time from Settings → API; revocation takes effect immediately.
• We log tool usage (which tool was called, by which connected client) to operate and improve the service.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access your YouTube data stored by StoryShort.ai
• Request deletion of your stored YouTube data
• Revoke StoryShort.ai's access to your YouTube account
• Receive a copy of your stored data

9a. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. When you do:

• We delete your videos, series, characters, uploaded files and connected social accounts.
• Any active subscription stops right away. Payments already made are not refunded.
• We keep invoices and payment records, because the law requires it.
• We keep a one-way hash of your email address. Nobody can read your email from it. We use it only so the same person cannot get free signup credits twice.

9b. Your Videos on Public Pages

Finished videos you make with StoryShort.ai may be shown on public pages of our website, such as topic pages (storyshort.ai/category/...). Our team may also pick some AI images and videos made with our tools for the community gallery and our tool pages.

• These pages show the video or image, its title, and its script or prompt.
• They never show your name or your profile photo.
• You can remove all your videos and images from public pages at any time. In Settings, turn off "Show my videos on public pages".
• After you turn it off, our pages stop showing your content within a few minutes. Some pages can keep a saved copy for up to 24 hours.

9c. Reports and Moderation

To keep StoryShort.ai safe, we process reports and moderation data:

• When you report content, we store the link, the reason, the details you give, your email address and a coded (hashed) version of your IP address. We use them to review the report, to answer you and to stop spam.
• If you send a copyright or trademark notice, we may share it with the person who posted the content. If they send a counter-notice, we may share it with you.
• We check prompts, uploaded images and generated images for prohibited content. We use automated moderation tools and the safety filters of our AI providers, so this content may be sent to them for this check.
• We keep a record of blocked requests, reports and moderation decisions, linked to the account concerned. We use it to enforce our Terms, to handle appeals and to stop repeated abuse.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
